City of Yucaipa

Yucaipa was incorporated on November 27, 1989.

Yucaipa is a mature, well-established community nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. Residents enjoy cleaner air and cooler temperatures as a result of the higher elevations. A comprehensive approach to community safety has produced one of the lowest rates of crime for comparably sized cities anywhere in the State. The city maintains more than nineteen recreational facilities including 14 parks, one senior center, a community center/gymnasium, equestrian arena, stakeboard park, and municipal pool.  In addition to the city facilities, the community has the Yucaipa Valley Regional Park a 200-acre facility with 3 lakes for swimming, boating, and fishing, plus campgrounds and playgrounds for the entire family, and the newly acquired Wildwood Canyon State Park. Outstanding  schools are provided by the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District, Crafton Hills College (one of the colleges associated with the San Bernardino Community College district), and a local private institutions.  Housing to accommodate all lifestyles is readily available, 3 museums, a library, a Senior Center, 2 theater groups, and over 40 churches and 90 social or business clubs round out the community.
