“When my wife and I began the search for our new home, we knew that the majority of homes in the area we liked were short-sales. We also knew that navigating through such transactions could be difficult without the guidance of an experienced Realtor knowledgeable of the pitfalls inherent in the short-sale process. We initially worked with another Realtor referred to us by a friend, but after doing some research in the meantime, we learned about some of the added qualifications Realtors can obtain. Among these are certifications of education specifically in short-sales and foreclosure transactions.
I performed a search on Realtor.com for agents in my area with these advanced qualifications and found that my current Realtor did not hold this additional education. However, at the same time, I found Ana. There were a number of agents listed with the same qualifications as hers, but my hand was tipped in her favor by the professional appearance of her website, the many great reviews people had written about their experience with her, and her assurance that she is “never too busy for you or any of your referrals.”
We looked at many homes, submitted many offers, and throughout each process I found Ana to be extremely knowledgeable, efficient, responsive, and very hard-working. She maintained an aggressive commitment to contacting listing agents, lenders, and HUD when needed to push everything swiftly along from our first search to our final transaction. She also worked late into the night on more than one occasion to finish paperwork and submit offers for me.
My wife and I finally found a great deal on a foreclosure, which Ana alerted us to the morning it came on the market. With her guidance, we won the bid with an offer that ended up exactly matching the appraised value of the home! Her knowledge and experience prevented us from over-bidding – saving us potentially thousands of dollars – but her commitment to customer service did not stop at close of escrow.
Although we found a great home in wonderful condition, it was still a foreclosure and needed a few repairs beyond my ability. Ana referred me to professionals that could help, providing honest, quality craftsmanship in addition to fair pricing – people I wholly intend to call on again if ever needed. Also, every time I have had any other questions (today, for example – more than two months after escrow closed), she has returned my calls and emails just as quickly and worked just as hard as she did when we were hunting down houses in a fast-moving market.
Although I do not know many other Realtors with whom to compare Ana, I am a working professional and can easily recognize the difference between those maintaining the status quo and those whose performance far exceeds that which is obligated by their job description. Ana is one of those rare individuals that will completely redefine your concept of professionalism and her strong work ethic has made me a client for life. I will, without a doubt, turn to her expertise for any future buying or selling I may do in the areas she serves.
There are so many other wonderful testimonies on her website that your decision to work with her should have been made long before you reached this review, but just in case you are still unsure, know that I cannot recommend Ana Thigpen strongly enough to you. The processes of searching and buying were made so easy by her and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. ”
